スポールブールとは？What Is Sportboules?
スポールブール（別名「ブール・リヨネーズ」）は、フランス生まれのボール競技です。金属ボール（ブール）を転がして、目標となる小さな球（ジャック）にできるだけ近づけることを競います。同系統の「ペタンク」がボールを投げるのに対し、スポールブールは転がしてプレーするのが特徴です。Sportboules — also known as "Boule Lyonnaise" — is a French ball sport in which players roll metal balls (boules) as close as possible to a small target ball (jack). Unlike the related sport pétanque, where players throw the ball, Sportboules is played by rolling it.
その起源は古代エジプト・ギリシャまで遡るとも言われる、世界最古級の球技のひとつ。フランス・イタリアなどヨーロッパを中心に盛んで、世界の競技人口は約60万人ともいわれ、専用コートを持つクラブも多い、由緒あるスポーツです。日本ではまだあまり知られていませんが、城東ウォーリアーズでは年齢を問わず楽しめる活動種目のひとつとして取り組んでいます。Its origins are said to trace back to ancient Egypt and Greece, making it one of the oldest ball sports in the world. It's especially popular across Europe, particularly in France and Italy, with an estimated 600,000 players worldwide and many dedicated clubs. It's still not widely known in Japan, but at JOTO WARRIORS it's one of the activities members of all ages can enjoy.

アジア・オセアニア選手権2連覇達成！Asia-Oceania Champion — Two Years Running
当団体所属の久保田結さんが、オーストラリア・メルボルンで開催された「アジア・オセアニア選手権」スポールブール女子ダブルスにおいて、2大会連続優勝（2連覇）を達成しました。今回の優勝により、来年開催の世界選手権への出場権も獲得しています。Yui Kubota, a member of JOTO WARRIORS, has won back-to-back titles in the Women's Doubles at the Asia-Oceania Sportboules Championship, held in Melbourne, Australia. This win also secures her spot at next year's World Championship.
本当にギリギリの試合を積み重ねての2連覇でした。最後まであきらめない強靭な肉体と、集中力・精神力を持ち合わせたアスリートです。Both titles were earned through truly razor-thin, closely fought matches. She's an athlete with the physical toughness, focus, and mental strength to never give up until the very end.
表彰台では誇らしげに日章旗を掲げ、日本代表として世界に挑む姿を見せてくれました。日本ではまだ競技人口の少ないスポールブールで世界の舞台に立つ久保田さんは、城東ウォーリアーズの誇りです。引き続き、久保田さんへの温かい応援をよろしくお願いします！On the podium, she proudly raised the Japanese flag as a member of Team Japan.
